asia - day 20 - recovering on the escalators

since the previous day was so jam-packed with excitement, today was a lazy day for us. just about the only thing we did today after we nibbled on some tasty macarons was check out the mid-levels escalators and the star ferry. it was such a lazy day that i didn't even bring my SLR out with me - just my handy-dandy G10. we had a nice lunch... and we had hot pot for dinner!!! this goes to show that even lazy days can be good. sometimes they are even great.

mmm, lunch is always good when you're in hong kong.



when it got dark after shopping, we took the star ferry from tsim sha tsui back to central. i love the green plastic tokens you get from the vending machines to enter turnstiles to take the ferry.




the view and lightshow were lovely! the old dimly-lit wooden ferry definitely added to the romantic atmosphere. but we were too busy taking photos to cuddle.





outside the hot pot restaurant, there was a display of silly carnival mirrors. try as i might, i could not get my head to look as warped as vince's from my camera angle. i swear i really did try my best.





dinner was intense and we ordered too much as usual. the price of thinly sliced beef in hong kong (and beijing) is astronomical. and unfortunately, this is what vince and i love the most! i appreciate AYCE hot pot in richmond hill so much more now. here's vince with his "i'm full" face on.
