three months

the boy and i have been married for 3 months as of today! since jump is closed on sundays, we celebrated last night with a repeat visit. the food was delectable as usual. i love love love parpardelle and i order it every time i see it without mushrooms (which is hardly ever) so you can imagine how excited i was when i saw this on the online menu: pappardelle with ontario asparagus, pancetta, filetto di tomato, and pecorino romano.

happier was i that the online menu was actually updated - i hate it when the menu at the restaurant is different - we ordered the parpardelle as an appetizer to share. the boy is not crazy about pasta but even he was raving about the dish. lipsmackingly delish!

for my main dish, i ordered the jump beef and short rib burger with jack cheese, horseradish mayo, vidalia onion relish, and jump fries. i suspect that the burger came sans short rib (and i got sweet potato fries instead) but the burger was soooooo good that i didn't even bother asking. it was one of those meals during which i would say "omg, this is soooo goood" after each bite. i can be a highly annoying dinner companion, i know.

for the boy's main, he ordered beef tenderloin on the bone with gorgonzola blue cheese butter. man the cheese was strong and the steak was so nice. we also ordered scalloped potatoes on the side... very cheesy, greasy, and tasty. after frites, scalloped are my favourite style of potatoes. for dessert, we ordered the phyllo wrapped white chocolate cheesecake.

we also had a bottle of cava to celebrate. the boy soon became red, tipsy, and sleepy!

some good news: we saw our head table server from the night of the wedding and he was actually the manager for the night! he had accepted a part-time manager position - a well-deserved promotion. i can't wait to go back to jump. it was a highly enjoyable 3 month celebration dinner.
