my space for creativity

i bought an art book before i went on holidays. a book that inspired me to build an art space. a mini art studio. a small art centre. a little art corner just for little me. since the boy and i were short on time before the honeymoon, i planned it out and decided that the perfect time to go shopping for my art space would be the weekend after we returned to toronto. in other words, this past weekend.



we headed over to ikea on saturday and i rounded up the a few pieces that i had sourced out on the online catelog. a couple of days after we returned from asia, the boy had found a funny article on ikea in beijing so of course we had to get some photos of him slumbering on the furniture - click the photos below if you wish to read the article.



very late that night, we assembled the low tables that would form my space for creativity.



i gathered all my art supplies, fabric, jewellery supplies, art books, scrap paper, and photography gear so it would all be within easy reach. when my new art table was sufficiently cluttered, i set about organizing everything in baskets, bowls, and vases.



and here it is! i can't wait to use it. i'm starting to feel more creative already.
