hey pal... meet me at pal

today was a very productive day. i got lots of work done at work, i finished all my christmas shopping and wrapping, i bought two pairs of black legwarmers and a warm winter coat that covers my thighs, and i finally stepped into le pain quotidien after peeking through the windows numerous times over the past 2-3 months.

the designer passed through my new 'hood to meet me for lunch today. not only was i glad to see her but i was also glad that i had someone to meet for lunch so my coworkers don't think i'm some big loser since i'm always sitting at my desk.

we nibbled on yummy but expensive breakfast / brunch / lunch fare. teeny portions for miniature people with miniature appetites. the designer had a tuna melt: four paper thin slices of bread topped with white albacore tuna salad (with bacon!). i had a toasted paris ham & gruyere baby croissant with organic musclun and mustard trio. everything looked tasty, just real tiny.

i was hungry again soon after getting back to work and i had to snack on chocolates and shortbread. fuel for shopping, i say. today was an expensive day.
