friendly reminder

today the designer reminded me that i had promised to make her a friendship bracelet 8 years ago. i had some recollection of this but my first reaction was to ask, "i did?" in the most incredulous voice that i could muster up. indeed i did. at that time, i had just started making friendship bracelets again but i never actually finished one. and i never even started one with her in mind. i promised to deliver a nifty one next week.

she requested that i not post the finished product because she wants to be the first to lay eyes on it. but i figured i could post my failed attempt... errr, my practice run. this first try fell miserably short (literally) but it wouldn't have been pretty enough for her anyway.
