25 ways to wear a scarf

let me start off by saying that i love scarves. i buy them all the time and have amassed a drawer-full (or two... or three) of them. but oddly enough i rarely ever wear them. why? because i think they look weird on me. they always look hot in the store (as "hot" as scarves could possibly look) but then when i go to pair them with my outfits, they just look all wrong.

so i was super relieved when i watched wendy's tutorial on 25 ways to wear a scarf in 4.5 minutes. at last, i can put all my scarves to good use! i found wendy on the purse forum, where she occasionally posts mod pics of her wearing her bal bags. i loved her photos so i clicked on the link to her lookbook. ever since then, i've started following both her blog and youtube channel. she's been speaking of a scarf tutorial and, when it was finally posted, i watched it over and over again. partly because it was so well done but mainly because i wanted to try a bunch of the different styles!

today, i wore one of my square scarves in one of the favourite styles i learned from the video - the bunny ear. haha, what else? vince took this photo for me with my iphone at dim sum today.



then, in the afternoon, i went shopping for more scarves and ended up buying three! can you tell i was inspired? this first scarf was a great find for me. i don't normally buy or wear a lot of red but i tried on this scarf on a whim and LOVED it!



i really like the decoration style of wearing a scarf. i tried it here and thought it was ok but i'm gonna try it again. there's something strange about this look on me - maybe it's my black tank top that's throwing me off. i dunno.

alright, a confession. i played with these scarves and tried the styles in the video from memory. then as i was preparing this blog post, i referred to the video to get the name of the below style because i couldn't remember. well, let's just say i watched the whole tutorial again and i couldn't find it. i guess i made this one up but i quite like it. and fashion's all about experimenting anyway! please excuse my face in this photo.
