a close second
labour day monday. i've been waiting for you for ages. you came late this year so it was especially sweet when you arrived. i'm not sure when i started liking labour day. i've always maintained that thanksgiving is my favourite holiday. but i think labour day is now a close second.
this was the day i really took my new lens out for a spin. the boy and i went to watch what we could of the airshow down at harbourfront. i wanted to bring my 100 so i could get a bit closer to the planes but because i hadn't finished playing with my 10-22, i took him instead. so while the boy photographed the planes, i focused on everything else around me.

and then after we got tired of watching the planes, we snapped some pix at the music garden. this is the big tree under which the taiko drummers were performing the other week.
snapped a few more pix, watched what we could see of the airshow grand finale, and then it was time to go home. after quite literally 4 hours of shooting, i've decided that this lens is a lot of fun. the 50 is still my favourite but the 10-22 is now a close second. i think the below images are two of my favourite photos of the boy.
